The Why

This is the main entry to things I am interested in.

My project is to gather information about things I find out about the world. Like a big puddle of mud full of interesting informations.

Start with Why

Why a blog (or this kind of documentation framework)?

First and foremost these three motives:

• Digital Garden (something to grow my ideas)
• Second Brain (something to not forget the nitty gritty details I worked hard on to find out)
• Interests and Projects (what interests me, and progress on projects)

What do I want to address with this? It will take even more work to do this.

I want to cultivate my digital garden! Things I search for, things I find out. So I can look them up again, have the old links at hand to cross check. So some kind of wayback machine here.

Why a digital garden?

• I want to find out what I think and write it down. For me! And to find the thoughts later again. I don’t want to be easily found though, so I won’t publish it to google. This is a private space, more or less, but open to anyone who can find it.

I want to save them for eternity (or so they say :D)

What about Journalling? This is a good question, I am hanging right now! I feel sometimes overwhelmed and dissatisfied. But I am not sure, if I can open myself up to the whole world to see my inner feelings…

What about progress on my projects?

• there is a game I want to develop?
• maybe something about flying drones?
• maybe something about garden stuff?
• what about I could find here all my interests and my own FAQ? About everything?

But would I be willing to put up the extra work?

• I am easily distrac… wait, was that a squirrel…
• I don’t like to do hard things, (as everybody) I guess. But if I am getting started, I can really lose myself in the task. The problem here is, that I trained myself to stop that behaviour, because expections from the outside…???
• When I am on vacation, this may even work.

How do I know, about what to write? And how much?

• The above things are good. I can start to experiment with different things, maybe even novels.

Two Questions:

• How can I be sure, that nobody can hijack my site? Nobody can put my name through the dirt, because I didn’t do my homework on the server I own?
• How to secure all this stuff?

My intentions:

• Write about my interests as a way to understand the world better.

This may become overhauled in the long run… or maybe this whole endevour will be forgotten in the near future
